STM Classes and Sessions Cancellation & Refund Policy

Our classes and sessions have limited spaces with a high demand. We take full payment at the time of booking. A full refund 1 week before the session. There is a 50 % credit if you cancel 72hrs beforehand and we can’t fill your spot.  If you cancel within 24hrs and we can’t fill your spot there is no refund.

Our guarantee of service delivery

STM guarantees delivery of training and assessment services once enrolment is completed. If for any reason STM is unable to fulfil its service agreement with a student, STM will refund the student’s proportion of fees paid for services not delivered.


Withdrawing from your course prior to the start date

  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment for each individual module, more than 28 days prior to the commencement of the module will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid minus an administration fee of $250.
  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than 28 days and up to 7 days prior to the commencement of a module, will be entitled to a 50% refund of fees paid minus an administration fee of $250
  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than 7 days prior to the commencement of a module, and up to the day prior to commencement, will not be entitled to a refund. The amount retained by STM is required to cover the costs of staff and resources that will have already been committed based on the students initial stated intention to undertake the training.



Withdrawing from your course after the start date

Once delivery of a course has commenced, if you choose to withdraw from the course permanently, there will be no refund.

The Director, in all situations, may exercise discretion if the student can demonstrate that extenuating or significant personal circumstance led to their withdrawal. In these cases, the student should be offered a full credit toward the tuition fee in another scheduled module where appropriate, in-lieu of a refund. The Director may also authorize a refund of tuition fees if the circumstances require it.

Where refunds are approved, the refund payment must be paid to the student within 14 days from the time the student gives written notice to cancel their enrolment. Tuition refunds are to be paid via electronic funds transfer using the authorized bank account nominated by the student.



Fees paid in advance

STM provides an early bird discount option to all students if full payment is received by COB (close of business) on the nominated date.

Students also have the option of paying installments leading up to each training module. It must be noted that all outstanding money must be paid 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the training.

STM acknowledges that it has a responsibility to protect the fees paid by students in advance of their training and assessment services being delivered. STM will invoice students for the course amount prior to the final payment date.

The basis for determining the amount for scheduled payment must be based on the costs of the individual module that is yet to be delivered to the student.

It is the responsibility of the student to arrange scheduled installments for the appropriate amount.
